Link around

You should link to http://ilovescifi.net/ because i've been playing with the web statistic tools norman's webhosting gives and i want to see if i can get 1000 kids to come here in a week

Also click here to subscribe to my YouTube account.

I recently caved in and decided putting up my videos on YouTube was worth it despite their horrible terms of service due to the sheer number of users and the community/communications aspect of it compared to say.. revver/google video/etc.

That means i'll be adding a whole buttload of clips to YouTube, so far about 7 this week!

Good for you. Someone buy me MiniDV Tapes/Electric Blankets/Burritos/2.5 Gal Jugs of Water or just give me a high-five. I'd like that.

Hop Along, Queen Ansleis

I really have no idea how many of you read this piece of crap blog outside of my friends so i hope this doesn't kill norman's web hosting.

Hop Along, Queen Ansleis - Sirens
Hop Along, Queen Ansleis - The Cactus
Hop Along, Queen Ansleis - Burno Is Orange

You're going to want to download those songs. And then buy the CD.

They have a song about going to churches and pissing on them. I like that in a band.

Go to their myspace, message them about buying everything (i mean it, buy everything.)

I miss these guys/home, i think i'll be the only one in my dorm after 4 pm tonight.

Under appreciated Videos

I thought i would bump up some under appreciated videos with stupid half-thought-out commentary after spending the last 30 or so minutes tagging all my old videos with ilovescifi.net:

The Assistant @ The Che Cafe for Che Fest '02

- This was the first set i ever shot. It was during the summer of my freshman year of high school. I was and still am a completely shy/awkward boy so doing anything to attract any attention to me (such as point a camera at a band in the middle of a sitting room crowd) scared the bejesus out of me. I remember being excited beyond belief waiting for them to start expecting the oh-so-loud music i ate up during that time only to get a great little acoustic set. I vaguely recall them being the major reason I went to Che Fest in the first place. I'm glad i filmed this.

Ten Grand @ The Che Cafe on 1.24.03

- I laugh every time i see this. I'm amazed by how good it looks/sounds, I wonder how the damn camera managed to do that. This was the last time they would ever play the Che, Matt Davis died seven months later. I remember finding out and spending the afternoon trashing my room trying to find this tape. The main reason i started filming shows in the first place was to somehow get them on the internet. I thought it was amazing how i could possibly film something and have it viewed by someone halfway across the world. But there was no way to put any of my videos online as they were all too big and youtube and the like didn't exist until my senior year of high school (remember those old URL directory books they sold in the 90s? i thought i should mention that for whatever reason, life changes all quick-like sometimes). I finally found the video hidden in a cabinet and watched it in my room, it stayed in a box at the very top for 4 years until i could finally upload it.

Erin Tobey @ The Flywheel on 4.14.06

- First show i filmed with my new camera as a freshman at UMass Amherst. Erin Tobey is lovely and amazing AND she throws in fun quirky stage banter in-between songs.

And now I'll ramble some more because I'm confident no one reads this damn thing anyways:
I didn't do any filming during my junior to senior year of high school and I have no idea why. I've been daydreaming constantly about starting over and doing my life again starting from the first grade. I don't want to be 19 but I'm glad i have these visual markers to remind me of some fun times that i didn't happen to miss out on. They'll be here when i forget, like i always do.
