Julie Doiron @ The Che Cafe on 6.13.07
This was pretty much the best show of the summer for me, the videos do no justice as it was dark as hell and I'm of course an idiot who never knows what he's doing.
I was a total goober and gushing about her to everyone all night and ended up being too shy to talk to her, haha. blah.

I updated my phone software...
And lost everyone's phone number in the process
Whoops...
So if all the dude/ttes who I'm in contact with could send a text message with their full name I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Semi-annual call for help
Hey, here is my semi-annual call for help:
1) If you see any missing info for my older videos and know who else played/what time the show started/how much it cost/etc. then please leave a comment with the details.
2) Make me a mix, it can be as short or long as you want and upload it to sendspace/mediafire/megaupload/etc. leaving the link in the comments. It doesn't have to have a theme or anything, just what you like or have been listening to is fine and you can leave the comment anonymously if you want.
Thanks in advance!

It's 2 a.m. and i just finally got back from the show last night. Too late!
Anyways I've been meaning to make this post and right before bed seems like as good of a time as any.
GO SEE JULIE DOIRON DAMNIT.
Chances are if you know me, you also know how much i absolutely love her to death. She was the one person whose songs i turned to throughout high school who made all those countless lonely moments bearable and even a bit sweet. I don't give a shit how sappy that is, in fact I'll get even sappier: my memory gets worst every year but I'll never forget waking up at 5 am sophomore year to work at Brueger's Bagels on 15th street and listening to "Ce Charmant Coeur" or all those nights junior and senior year when i would help close up the Che to "Sweeter" on repeat.
I'll keep these mp3s up until the show on Wednesday, June 13 but, please, if you end up going to the show
BUY EVERY GODDAMN RELEASE SHE'S SELLING. DO IT.
- Ce Charmant Coeur
- Love to Annoy
- Sweeter
- Dance Music
- He Will Forget

The Diskettes in Tijuana, Mexico
I'm bad at updating.
The Diskettes @ Cafe Revolver in Tijuana, Mexico on 6.1.07
^ YouTube Sample
Any of the other San Diego kids who read this know of any fun stuff to do that is often overlooked? I'm talking along the lines of like Balboa Park's free Tuesday museums or Black's Beach.
This is going to be one long ass summer...
Oh hey, if anyone was already planning on watching Transformers the movie, head down to ComicKaze and pick up your tickets for 15 bucks there along with a limited edition comic. I think Robert is doing a showing a day or two early at the Pacific Theater? Regardless if you wanted to watch the movie or not, you should check the shop out, it is hands down my favorite comic shop in San Diego and I've been going to it since i was a sophomore at Torrey Pines High School (damn, long time...) It has the perfect mix of small/indie publisher material and superhero books. Theres also the guys who run the shop, Robert/Lucky, who just plain rule. Ask them for recommendations if you're just getting into comics or if you want to read something new.
It's right next to Sipz, you've probably seen it a bunch but never gone in. If you do end up buying those tickets, tell him Allen sent you...
