Serious.

I'm not a bootlegger, i don't make massive copies of my videos on dvd to trade and especially not to sell, not sure why there have been a few requests for them (other than from bands which i'll be sending out in august, i promise, sorry) when i put all the videos online in full at archive.org.

Most of the stuff i video tape i do it because they're friends and i enjoy their bands. When i don't know the band, chances are i adore the music they make and I will tend to ask them if 1) it is okay to film them 2) if it is okay to possibly upload it online. It seems like common courtesy to ask and i understand the reasons a band would not want to be filmed.

Keep in mind this is just a hobby, I asked my dad if i could borrow his camera one night before a show (I think it was Che Fest '01/'02?) and it just went from there, I have no idea what the hell I'm doing and it has shown... it still shows.

This is for fun, I'm not out to get the perfect shot and blah blah blah, I don't mind if you get in my way, I'm probably in yours. I try to apologize to the people near and behind me before and after a set for standing in front of them and getting in their line of sight, i try to lean down and be generally out-of-the-way but it doesn't always work out that way, I'm sorry in advance and just let me know! Don't worry about bumping into me, in most cases i film punk/hardcore bands and thats to be expected, It'd be downright stupid of me to think otherwise... move around and sing along, there are enough shows with kids standing still and cross-armed! Don't feel a need to apologize either, I'm sorry for being in your way.

It's 2:40 am, nothing/no one prompted me to write this other than i felt like it should be said.

Oh and i'd like to stress one last time that i'm literally a jackass (see: this blog) who doesn't know what he's doing and that you should pay no mind to me. Serious.

Oh noes.

Youtube took down The Cancer Kids video because i was infringing on Broadway Video's (you know, SNL, late night with conan, mean girls...) copyright. Yeah i know "Uh... what?"

I responded to them with the e-mail i got that contained the "ok" to film from the band but i guess that wasn't enough...

I'll probably upload a wmv sample to archive.org instead sometime tomorrow, just a heads up if you were curious as to what happened to the video.

ALSO

I don't suppose anyone who reads this works at the Regal Cinema movie theater in mira mesa OR is able to get tons of free movie passes? I'm going to need like 10-15 of them.

If i make it through the rest of the summer without paying to watch another blockbuter big tent movie, I will love you forever. FOR-EV-ER.
